Most of the tattoos I do that you can see are done with the classic tattoo machine, not all of them though!

I really love the traditional handpoke tattoo, it allows me a more "intimate" sign and a deeper relationship with the client and with what he or she wants to impress on their skin.

I wrote these few lines to briefly explain what this uncommon technique consists of and answer some questions that are usually asked to me by those who enter the world of traditional tattooing.

I enclose a short video that I recommend you listen to at high volume to appreciate the characteristic sound of this wonderful technique.

WHAT IS HANDPOKE TATTOOING?

Tattoos did by hand without machine, using ritual and ancient tecniques but equally safe, professional and wich respect an high hygienically standard.

Handpoke tattoos are less invasive and painful than electric tattoos, the handpoking technique causes less trauma to the skin, heals a lot quicker than machine tattoos, doesn't scab as much and requires minimum aftercare. In places like hands or fingers, compared to the electric tattoos, the colors fade less over the years.

Due to the minimal trauma it is the ideal for people with medical conditions that slow down the healing process or skin problems.

Also if pain is very subjective, I noticed that hanpoke hurts less than electric tattoos.

For small tattoos the time is about the same as with machine but for bigger It need more patience and takes longer.
