This is a print of an original painting of mine depicting Odin’s mythical ravens, his thoughts and his memory.

In Norse mythology it is said that every day Óðinn sends them flying all over the earth, and they return in the evening to tell him everything they have seen and heard.

Although Viking art was only rarely used to depict mythological scenes, and there are no specific references to these ravens, we do find a great variety of birds.

I have used these findings and my knowledge of the Mammen style to draw two ravens that represent these two mythical ravens in a historically authentic way.
