Thor prepares a strong line and a large hook and attacks it with the head of Hymir’s largest ox as a bait, which Jörmungandr bites.
Thor pulls the snake out of the water and grabs his hammer to kill the snake, but Hymir, scared, cuts the line, letting the snake sink beneath the waves.
I am particularly fond of this myth of Norse culture, inside there are many metaphors concerning travel and human nature.
