Covers are always a challenge, when a client commissions me to one it forces me to go out of my mind and it is something I like.
When a person bears on his skin a sign that does not correspond to what he or she imagined becomes, many times, suspicious and reluctant towards the tattoo artist.
While this fact is legitimate and understandable, on the other, it often makes it more difficult to establish that climate of trust that must be the basis of such tattoos.
In fact, in a cover, you have to rely much more on the tattoo artist than a normal tattoo because, unfortunately, many aspects of the design and the work that we will normally discuss together become solely my choices due to the need to cover the previous work.
For this I want to thank all the people who grant me this kind of trust, and, in this particular case, thank you Icarus!
I am very happy with the final result, two crows embellished with a geometric pattern that I “stole” from the Gosforth cross.
You can see the tattoo I covered by scrolling down the page.
